Briefing stage

Initially we gain an understanding of the needs and aspirations of the client and look at the

opportunities offered by the project.

 

Sketch design stage

Sketch design breathes life into the ideas of the client and offers a vision of the projects

potential. To find the preferred design, a number of options will have to be explored with

the client. This design is then further refined and explained with plans, sections and elevations.

 

Detailed design stage

In the detailed design stage we develop the sketch design into the final design solution,

approved by the client. The drawings have a level of detail suitable for obtaining cost estimates

and for lodgement of a town planning application. To speed the planning process we organise

pre-application meetings with council and neighbours, and provide comprehensive

documentation to satisfy council requirements quickly.

 

Building documentation stage

To ensure that the intention of the initial design is not lost during construction we prepare

drawings, specifications and schedules that are suitable for building approval, tendering and

construction.
